Hydro-Eakly boys beat Geary 78-39

GEARY - The Hydro-Eakly Bobcats basketball team is unbeaten as they defeated Geary 78-39 Tuesday.

“We played good and everyone got to play,” coach Rick Gore said. “It was just one of those games where we worked on some things. Several guys played well and it was a good overall win for us.”

Cade Berkey and Paxton Price led the way in scoring as they each scored 18 points. Carson Propps scored 10 points. Nolan Gore also scored 10 points and has 5 assists.

Cade Kimble and Brand McKay each came off the bench and played well. Kimble scored 12 points and McKay scored 10 points.

“We had several guys who played well,” Gore said. “It was just one of those games where we were better. Geary only has played two games and we have had much more experience.”

Friday night was senior night for the Bobcats and the four seniors are Tanner Wilburton, Kimble, KJ Hoyle and Berkey are the four seniors. They played against Canton.

Hydro-Eakly currently is 11-0 on the season and they return to action Tuesday in the West Central Tournament.

“That tournament is going to be tough,” coach Gore said. “We are the 2-seed, Arapaho-Butler is the 3-seed and we are excited to play. This will be a good test to see where we are at for the playoffs.”
