LILBURN, Georgia — On the heels of a second defeat of the season, the SWOSU women’s basketball team took a dip in the national rankings, but they remain in the Top 25 as the No. 20-ranked team in this week’s Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) ranking.

SWOSU was tripped up at Southern Nazarene February 11 night before bouncing back with a resounding 93-64 victory against Oklahoma Baptist February 13 to improve to 12-2 on the year. The Lady Bulldogs remain 3.5 games ahead of the pack in the Great American Conference’s Western Division with five games to play in the regular season.

The latest round of winter weather across the state of Oklahoma postponed the SWOSU and East Central doubleheader set for Thursday at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center in Weatherford.

At this time, no makeup date has been announced, but the teams will work together to reschedule the game if an open date arises. SWOSU will now return to action Saturday at Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant.
