BINGER — Hydro-Eakly won all three games by at least 11 runs in the Johnny Bench Tournament this past weekend, hosted by Binger-Oney High School — winning the tournament championship. The Bobcats defeated Mountain View-Gotebo, 15-1, Thursday, Thomas-Fay-Custer, 13-1, Friday and Lomega, 11-0, Saturday.

Weatherford defeated Sentinel 9-1 by run rule Thursday in a non-district game. Neither team scored until the fourth inning of the game.

CLINTON — Weatherford’s girls soccer team took a big step Thursday toward a district title and two home playoff game opportunities, after defeating rival Clinton, 3-1. The win puts Weatherford at 5-0 and in first place in the district with two games to play.

Fairview had a big third inning, then held off a late Weatherford rally attempt to defeat the Lady Eagles, 12-8 Monday. Both teams were scoring early and had big innings in the game.

Weatherford swept district foe Kingfisher in two games Monday and Wednesday. The Eagles won at Kingfisher, 13-7, Monday and won 4-3 at home Wednesday.

Hydro-Eakly finished as runner-up at the Arapaho-Butler tournament Thursday, finishing 3-1. The Lady Bobcats opened the tournament with a 9-7 win against Canute, followed by a 11-9 win against Cheyenne/Reydon.
