Handprint Christmas Cards

Supplies:

• White, light brown, red, green, yellow and blue cardstock paper

• Red, green, pink, flesh tone and white paint

• Large red pom-poms

• Medium red pom-poms

• Medium white pom-poms

• Cotton Balls

• Googly eyes

• Sharpie

Instructions:

Santa Card

Fold a piece of white cardstock in half. Trace a handprint so the wrist is at the folded part, which will serve as the top of Santa’s hat.

Paint the center with the face color and let dry. Paint the top part and the thumb with red paint for the hat. Paint around the face area and the fingers with white for the beard if needed. Let dry.

Glue on size appropriate googly eyes. Take two small pieces from the cotton ball for the mustache and glue down. Glue a small read pom-pom for the tip of the nose. Unroll and cotton ball and glue down to make the brim of the hat. Glue a white pom-pom to the tip of the hat.

Once everything is dry, add you Christmas message on the inside.

Elf Card

Fold a piece of white cardstock in half. Trace the handprint so the folded part of the paper is at the pinky.

Paint the three middle fingers green and the rest of the handprint with the skin color. Allow to dry.

Spread out a cotton ball and glue down at the base of the three green fingers. Glue three white pom-poms to the top of the green fingers.

Add size-appropriate googly eyes, a pom-pom nose and draw a mouth with a sharpie. Add two small dots of pink paint for the cheeks.

Once everything is dry, add your Christmas message on the inside.

Reindeer Card

Fold a piece of tan cardstock paper in half. Trace the handprint so the folded part is at the pinky. Glue on tow size-appropriate googly eyes and a large red pompom for a nose near the base of the handprint.

Draw light bulb shape on the blue, red, yellow and red cardstock paper. Use a sharpie to outline the finished shapes and add a small line along the right curve with white paint. Spread the light bulbs along the fingers and glue

Spread the light bulbs along the fingers and glue down. Connect the bulbs with light strings using the sharpie.

Once everything is dry, add you Christmas message on the inside.
