Weatherford FFA has successful fall contest season

November 10, the Weatherford FFA Career Development Event teams traveled to Oklahoma Panhandle State University to compete in their annual interscholastics.

The Livestock Judging Team of Rylan Smith, Grady Chaplin, Dawson Hawkins, and Reece Villines won the Senior Division. Rylan Smith was High Individual and Grady Chaplin placed 10th.

The Agricultural Communications team of Haylee Garcia, Kylee Falasco, and Kyndall Sage placed second. Haylee was the third high individual and Kyndall placed sixth.

Lyndi Duerkson placed second in both the Job Interview and Crop Identification Contests.

November 17th, several teams traveled to compete at the Southwest Area Career Development Event Contest in Chickasha.

The Milk Quality and Products Team of Josh Steigman, Levi Kixmiller, Autumn White and Jadyn Goss placed first. Josh was High Individual, Levi placed third and Autumn placed fifth.

The Agricultural Communications team placed third. Kyndall was the fifth High Individual Overall.

November 20, the Livestock Judging Team Placed third at the First Annual CUTS Judging Contest in Cherokee. Team members include Reece Villines, Grady Chaplin, Ryder Jarvis and Dawson Hawkins. Reece was the ninth Overall Individual.

The CDE Teams will have a few months off before starting the spring season in March.
