County makes no changes to courthouse COVID-19 procedures

The Custer County Board of Commissioners approved and discussed items on the board at the regular County Commissions meeting.

The board decided to keep COVID-19 procedures the same in the Custer County Courthouse. The board did not discuss possible action on the courthouse window project.

The board approved an Interlocal Cooperative agreement between Custer County and Beckham County, which includes a half a mile of road located between on SH 34 and the county line between Beckham and Custer County. The road being repaired is 1050 Rd from 830 W to SH 34 north of Elk City. The road finished being repaired today and the cost was approximately $7,000.

There was no old business and in unforeseen business, Custer County Emergency Management Director Mike Galloway spoke about he is on his fifth tote of hypocholrus acid disinfectant spray for cleaning buildings during the COVID-19 pandemic and the spray is one of the top 10 cleaning materials in the United States. There also was talk about the suspicious seed packages being mailed to people from China. Everyone agreed that one should not plant seeds or anything else if they do not know what is it or where it came from.

The board approved blanket purchase orders, monthly officers reports and purchase orders for payments. The board also approved the financial statement for 2020, the declaration of surplus of 1999 international dump truck for district 1, recess to reconvene into meeting of the Custer County Law Enforcement Center Trust and a reinstatement of equipment to inventory for District 1.

The board also approved the monthly Alcohol beverage certificate and monthly appropriations.
