Custer County property tax bills coming soon

Janet Roulet, Custer County treasurer, said the 2020 property tax bills should be coming through the mail soon.

Due to COVID-19, Roulet said the treasurer’s office would prefer if residents would pay either through the mail or utilize the lock boxes at the north and south ends of the courthouse.

However, if residents cannot pay with exact change or checks, the treasurer’s office will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Masks are required in the courthouse.

The first half of the property taxes is due December 31. If paying by mail, it must be postmarked by this date.
