Ghost/Mummy Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Materials:

• 1 pound strawberries

• 1 package of white chocolate chips of candy melts

• 1 edible ink pen

Instructions:

Thoroughly wash the strawberries and allow to airdry.

Set out a large sheet of wax paper or a silicone baking sheet/mat.

Melt the chocolate by setting a heat-proof bowl of boiling water or microwave on 50-percent power. If using the bowl method, stir constantly until chocolate is melted completely. If using the microwave, heat for 10 seconds at a time, stirring in between until melted.

Once the chocolate is ready, take a strawberry by the stem and dip in the chocolate until completely covered then gently place on the wax paper or silicone mat. For mummies, follow this step by placing some melted chocolate in a plastic bag and cut off one of the tips to make a piping bag. Use this device to drizzle chocolate mummy wrapping. Save some space near the top for eyes.

Once the chocolate has hardened, create the ghost faces by drawing two eyes and a wailing mouth with the edible ink pen. For the mummies, draw to eyes in the space you saved in the chocolate wrappings.
