H-E ag groups attend Caddo County Livestock Show

The Hydro-Eakly FFA traveled to the Caddo County Livestock Show this week and had a very successful day.

In the heifer show, Creden Woods showed the champion Angus heifer and was a class winner with his purebred Simmental heifer. Micah Harris won breed champion and reserve breed champion with her two percentage Simmental heifers.

In the steer shows, Ryder Klaassen had the champion Charolais prospect steer who went on to be the grand champion prospect steer. Ryder also had the champion Simmental steer who went on to be the grand champion market steer.

Following cattle was the goat show. There Macey Kimble won a class with her doe while Tabrey Lierle won two classes with her does. Both does went on to be division champions and were also named grand champion and reserve grand champion does.

Later in the pig show Cade Rea placed third with his commercial gilt and then was first with his crossbred barrow, reserve champion with his Duroc barrow and champion with his Hampshire barrow. Cade’s Hampshire went on to be the grand champion barrow.
