Hydro drops game at Amber-Pocasset

AMBER — Despite having an early lead, Hydro-Eakly was unable to hold it as Amber-Pocasset scattered 7 runs throughout the game to take the victory, 7-2 Thursday.

Amber scored first, with a run in the bottom of the first on a sacrifice fly ball out to right field. That run made it 1-0 Amber-Pocasset.

Hydro came right back in the top of the second.

Nolan Gore hit a 1-out single to left field. Two batters later, Kaeden Harris hit a double to center field and the Bobcats had two runners in scoring position with 2 outs. Both Gore and Harris scored in the next at bat as KJ Hoyle singled to center field. Hydro-Eakly was up 2-1.

Amber took the lead for good in the bottom of the second on two RBI singles. It was 3-2.

Amber added a run in the bottom of the third on a sacrifice fly ball out to make it 4-2.

Amber scored another run in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI single. It was 5-2 Amber-Pocasset.

Amber was able to add two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth on an error and an RBI double. Those 2 runs made the score 7-2.
