Bob Bartmann, local business owner, gave the Weatherford Daily News a sneak peek at one of his latest projects along Main Street.
Bartmann currently is renovating 212 and 214 W. Main St. for his wife Katie Bartmann’s Edward Jones office and his property management business.
The new Edward Jones, will be a 2,500-squarefoot facility featuring seven facilities including offices for four people, a conference room, break room and data security storage.
The facilities, designed by Montell Vogt from Uptown Market Place, will have exposed brick walls, high ceilings and glass wrap-around walls.
“He’s always here,” Bob Bartmann said about Vogt. “He just has such as good eye for design, layout and colors. He takes all worry off my plate — all the things I stress about, he takes care of it.”
Vogt’s design also will feature a cast stone façade and gas lamps on the front of the building.
“Katie wanted it to be like nothing else downtown,” Bartmann said. “She wanted it to have a different feel, different look — a little more high-end.”
The neighboring office, 214 W. Main St., will house Bartmann’s property management business, rentals and restaurant management.
“We manage the financial side and a little bit of the day-to-day operations for Jerry’s Restaurant, which we has been growing and expanding in the last few years.”
In addition to Jerry’s, Bartmann also owns TCB Real Estate Investments and manages 31 tenants in 13 commercial properties across the state, mostly restaurants. He also has expanded into residential property with an apartment complex in Stillwater.
Bartmann also is working to develop the old Ford lot where eastbound Interstate 40 exits onto West Main Street. This project has been ongoing; however, he has experienced delays due to the COVID-19 shutdowns.
The project is up and running again with plans to break ground in November.
“We went below the current grade of the issue where the water has leaked and pipes broken to make sure we didn’t have any issue — we didn’t,” Bartmann said.
“We have all of our engineering plans ready and we are out to bid,”Bartmann said.
Bartmann said he plans to add a restaurant or retail business on the lot — something which will “look great” to those entering westbound I-40 and exiting eastbound I-40.
The West Main Street building project totals about $2 million while Ford lot project is “unknown and growing.”
