Okeene man, Jiffy trip robbery suspect, receiving treatment in Alva as part of court agreement

An Okeene man who pleaded guilty for his role in the robbery of Jiffy Trip is currently receiving treatment before being sentenced in August.

Court records show Brent Michael Schroeder, 21, is at the Bill Johnson Correctional Center in Alva, where he was placed in three treatment programs — Cage Your Rage, Life Without a Crutch, and Cognitive Behavioral Relapse Prevention or equivalent program.

He is due back in Custer County District Court for sentencing August 17, court records show.

In March of this year, Schroeder received a delayed sentencing from Judge Jill Weedon. As part of that delayed sentencing, Schroeder was ordered to receive treatment in two areas — cognitive behavior, and substance abuse, court records show.
