OSDH reports 82 COVID-19 cases in Weatherford

The Oklahoma State Departmen of Health is reporting 82 active COVID-19 cases in Weatherford and 14 total deaths.

Custer County currently has 219 total active cases and 39 deaths. Washita County has 73 active cases and five total deaths.

Tuesday, SWOSU reported 16 known active COVID-19 cases at the Weatherford campus. This means the students attend the Weatherford campus, but they may not live in Weatherford. SWOSU also reported one known employee case, but did not specify which campus.

Friday, Weatherford Public Schools reported 8 active COVID-19 cases between faculty, students and staff and about 100 people in quarantine.

This week, Hydro-Eakly Superintendent Jeremy Bussey and Principals Lora Burch and Jeremy Tharp reported the district has 10 total student cases and no positive employee cases.

In Custer County, Clinton continues to lead with 109 active cases. Arapaho has 10 active cases, Butler has two active cases, Custer City has four active cases and Thomas has eight active cases. The county also has four rural cases. There were no additional deaths listed for Custer County.

In Washita County, Bessie has two active cases, Burns Flat has 13 active cases, Colony has five active cases, Corn has five active cases, Dill City has one active case and Foss has six active cases. Cordell has 23 deaths, Rocky has one active case and Sentinel has five active cases. No additional deaths were listed for the county.

Hydro, which sits in Caddo County, has 21 active cases and no additional deaths.
