The Weatherford Area Camber of Commerce hosted Community Coffee at JC Cowboys Thursday morning gave attendees the first look at the new interior.

The City of Weatherford plans to conduct an annexation vote for the property, now owned by Bo and Lisa Seibold. A public hearing is 4 p.m. September 18 at Weatherford City Hall.

Bo and Lisa Seibold said, “JC Cowboys is a nostalgic building which was rapidly deteriorating and becoming an eyesore on the west side of Weatherford. We hated to see the building in that condition when it could be turned around and made into an asset for the community. Our business plan, once the building is brought in compliance with building code, will be to open a private venue and shortly thereafter a family friendly steakhouse featuring live music. Many have memories of JC Cowboys from their youth and we would like to make it a fun, entertaining place once again. Weatherford is our home town and we want to continue to help the town grow.”

At JC Cowboys, the public at the new interior improvements to date. Lisa Seibold told about how important it was for the property to be annexed. The annexing to Seibold is most important because getting on city water means they can run a fire sprinkler system, and overall have an increased water supply.

Seibold also said that if the building isn’t annexed making it a wedding venue would be difficult, due to the lack of town water.
