The Weatherford Pioneer Center in Weatherford, is working diligently to keep the elderly community fed during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Celebrating 30 years of providing meals in the center, they are now faced with keeping elderly fed through a drive-thru process and delivering meals to homes of shut-ins. The big problem is the old commercial dishwasher they have been using is now broken after being soldered together too many times.

They have found a resource to purchase a new dishwasher for $5,000 but there are no funds left in their budget. As the ladies in the nutrition center wash pots and pans by hand, the productivity is slowing down.

To assist, Iva Sadler at First National Bank and Trust has established a GoFundMe account to help raise money. The nutrition arm of the Pioneer Center operates independently with limited resources.

The goal is to raise $5,000 for the dishwasher and installation. The account has been set up 3 days and they already have received $335. Anyone wishing to help with the funding project can donate online at gofundme.com.
