Fire notes

January 15

The Weatherford Fire Department responded to a call for a patient with high blood pressure. Upon arrival the patient was at the door with a home health nurse ready to be transported to the emergency room. WFD assisted the patient onto the cot before loading her into the ambulance for transport. WFD then gathered information and returned to service.

The Weatherford Fire Department responded to a call for a person with low blood pressure. Upon arrival WFD assisted Emergency Medical Services by checking vitals and loading the patient onto the cot and into the ambulance for transport. WFD then gathered information and returned to service.

The Weatherford Fire Department responded to a call for a smoke odor. Upon arrival there was no odor present. WFD investigated the home and were unable to find any unusual areas. WFD advised the homeowner to call them if the smell returned. All units then returned to service.

January 16

The Weatherford Fire Department responded to a fire alarm with sprinkler activation. Upon arrival WFD was able to see water coming out of the former Stage building. WFD located the riser in the Save A Lot building and shut off the water flow and drained the system.

Upon arrival WFD was notified the activation was due to freezing temperatures and they had shut the water off. WFD opened the main drain on the system to remove remaining water. The individuals advised WFD they would notify them when the system was repaired. WFD then returned to service.

Friday

The Weatherford Fire Department was dispatched to a medical call on the west side of town. Upon arrival the patient met WFD on his front porch, complaining of back pain. WFD then assisted him into the ambulance where WFD assisted LifeGuard medics with obtaining vitals and patient information. WFD was then released by LifeGuard and returned to service.
