SWOSU to host blood drive Feb. 1-2

The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) will conduct a blood drive at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, February 1-2.

The “Rise Up & Give” blood drive will be at the SWOSU Wellness Center.

OBI Account Consultant Melissa Santoro said appointments are encouraged to help with flow and social distancing by calling (877) 340-8777 or visiting obi.org. Donors will receive a “Rise Up & Give” T-shirt.

All donations by donors ages 18 and older will be tested for COVID-19 antibodies to identify potential convalescent plasma donors.

If a donor has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and recovered, that donor could be eligible to donate. Email coviddonor@obi.org to make a plasma appointment.
