Voters decide District 57 race

Republican Anthony Moore will represent Western Oklahoma residents who reside in Oklahoma House District 57.

“I am really humbled to win this election,” Moore said. “I look forward to this honor and am super thankful for all the support I have gotten. The priorities are economic development, education and infrastructure. We want to do these three things while in office and I am extremely blessed and cannot wait to get started.”

With 20 of 22 precincts reporting as of 9 p.m., Moore received 9,053 votes and Garcia received 3,871 votes. District 57 consists of five different counties. Those five are Custer County, Blaine County, Beckham County, Caddo and Canadian County.

Moore graduated from Clinton high school. He was a state golf champion and went onto earn a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Christian University.

He earned a law degree from Oklahoma City University. In his free time growing up in Clinton, he did work on his family farm.
