The Weatherford High School theatre department is preparing to present “The Raven” for its winter performance.

This 20-minute play is a dramatized version of Edgar Allen Poe’s classic poem of the same name. It features Chase Dawson as Poe, Mackenzie Copeland as Edgar, Sam Kellar as Madaline, Brittany Arnold as Roderick and Isaac Martyn as The Raven.

The five-member cast under the direction of WHS teacher Ashby de la Plaine brings the eerie madness of Poe’s poem to life on a dimly lit, simply dressed stage.

“The Raven” opens February 25. Look for information on tickets and performance times in future editions of the Weatherford Daily News.
