Monday, Weatherford High School Spanish Teacher Sheri King was named the Weatherford Public Schools District Teacher of the Year.
King was named WHS Teacher of the Year in December and received $500 from the Magill Agency, along with the other four school site teachers of the year. King received an additional $1,500 from the Magill Agency as part of her award for District Teacher of the Year.
“I would like to thank all of my colleagues, my administration, everyone who has supported me and my family who put up with all of my homework,” King said. “It has been a really tough year with COVID-19. I want to thank everyone who has helped me get through this year. No one is alone.”
King said everyone needed to rely on one another this year, and she is grateful for the help she has received.
