Funeral services for Brian Eugene Gayer, 57 year-old Weatherford resident, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020, at First Baptist Church with Earl Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Brian was born November 27, 1962, in Altus, to Jerry Eugene and Melba Gay (Heavener) Gayer and passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020, in Weatherford.

Brian was raised and attended school in Weatherford, graduating from Weatherford High School with the Class of 1981. He attended Oklahoma State University and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Radiology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2000.

Brian owned Pro Sportsman Boat Shop where he was a certified Mercury mechanic. He currently was the owner/operator of Gayer Western Outfitters, alongside his daughter and grandson.

Brian enjoyed loving on people; working in the store; making kids happy; and being Poppy to Braylon, his grandson and loved two-stepping with his fiancée every chance they got.

He will be remembered as a selfless man; a most generous and giving person who never gave up and had an “open ear open arms” policy; and the best dad anyone could ever have. Brian was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Weatherford and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: his parents, Jerry and Gay Gayer, of Weatherford; daughter, Krystal Gayer, of Weatherford; grandson, Braylon Gayer; sister, Sharon Gayer, of Moore; and nephew, Cody Gayer and wife, Whitney, and their daughter, Tori, of Moore.

He was preceded in death by his fiancée, Rhonda Walker; grandparents, Wade and Elvina Heavener and Richard and Ruby Gayer; and many other friends.
