Graveside service for Elton Homer Hicks, 89-year-old Weatherford resident, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Sickles Cemetery with Pastor Buck Nicholson officiating. Services are under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Elton Homer Hicks, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was born August 2, 1930, to Homer and Robbie (Bullard) Hicks and passed away Friday, June 26, 2020, in Weatherford at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 24 days.
Elton married Ivon Ethyl Rogers November 19, 1949, in Cooke County, Texas, and together they had the blessings of 2 sons, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: two sons, Ronnie Hicks and his wife, Miriam, of Weatherford, Lonny Hicks and wife, Dana, of Tulsa; three brothers, Thomas Hicks, of Weatherford, Robert Hicks and wife, Melvinna, of Moore, and Phillip Hicks and wife, Glenda, of Moore; two sisters, Aileen Martin, of Weatherford, and Melba Atkinson, of Byars; four grandchildren, Brady Hicks, Chelsey Pitts and husband, Rowdy Jake, Jacoby Hicks and wife, Amira, and Tyler Hicks; and two great grandchildren, Jax Wayne Pitts and Jagger Jake Pitts.
Elton is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Ivon Ethyl Hicks; three brothers, Paul, Pete, and Butch; and two sisters, Vivian and Patsy.
