Graveside Service for James Edward Nix were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie.

Edward passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020, at his home north of Carnegie, with his family by his side. Edward was born September 10, 1942, in Carnegie, to Alvin & Ouida Jennings Nix.

Edward attended Carnegie Public Schools graduating with the Class of 1960. After graduation Edward became an Oklahoma Highway Patrol serving Oklahoma for two years.

He came back home and began working as the manager of the Farmers Coop Mill & Elevator for 34 years. He also farmed during that time. Edward enjoyed fishing, being with his family, and his dog, Raider.

Edward married Jane Harrison January 3, 1998, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Survivors include: his wife, Jane, of the home; three Daughters, Amy Montgomery, of Carnegie, Amy Harrison, Carnegie, and Keri Mabry and husband, Darren, of Carnegie; a son, Matt Harrison and wife, Andrea, Carnegie; and grandchildren, Morgandee Nix Tait and husband, Andy, Jada Montgomery, Jetta Mace, Kennedy Kiesau, Cameron Nix, Rhodey Mabry, Jett Mabry, Lanham Mabry, Heston Harrison, Hudson Harrison, Grant Kiesau and wife, Grace; a great grandchild, Tatum Mabry; a brother, Allan Nix and wife, Suzy, Carnegie, sisters, Lahonda Gibson, of Carnegie, and Karen Throener and Matt; and a host of other relatives and friends

Edward was preceded in death by son, Lyle Nix, Grandmother, Ollie Nix, and parents, Alvin Nix and Ouida Jennings.
