Funeral services for Jerry Lee Brehm, 78-year-old Burns Flat resident, will be 2 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021, in the First Christian Church in Clinton. Burial will follow in North Burns Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.

Jerry was born May 3, 1942, in Colony to John and Nellie (McMullin) Brehn and passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021, in Oklahoma City.

Jerry graduated Clinton High School in May 1960. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from May 1960 to May 1963.

Jerry worked at the Clinton Daily News. In 1975, he became a fulltime firefighter rising to the rank of Assistant Fire Chief. In 1990, he was transferred to Clinton Sherman Fire Department in Burns Flat and promoted to Fire Chief.

He retired in 1997. Jerry met his wife, Lynnell Rouse, while square dancing and Western Dancing and they were married May 25, 2002. They had 11 beautiful years together before Lynnell was taken from him in a vehicle accident in June 2013.

Survivors include: daughter, Carrie Miller and husband, Curtis; son, Rodney L. Brehm and wife, Chrystal; step-daughters, Tammy Phillips, Tawnya Rouse; stepson, Todd Rouse; grandchildren, Tatum Rouse, Gage, Raven, Ashton and Corbyn Miller, Hayden Brehm, Lacy Golden, Toby and April Phillips, Tegan and Greg Hayes and Tori and Tyler Rouse; grandchildren, Autumn and Raeli Phillips, Taven and Tucker Hayes and Charlie Golden; by his brother, J.P. Brehm and children, Candice and Tammy, of Oklahoma City; and Kay Brehm, of Clinton.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Lynnell; his father and mother, John and Nellie Brehm, sisters, Ruby, Betty, Wanda and Mildred; brothers, Donald and John; sister-in-law, Lorenda, Ruth and Deane Brehm.
