Jody was born September 1, 1951, in Enid, to Robert and Mary (Rauh) Morris, and passed away Monday, January 25, 2021, at her home in the presence of her loving family.

Jody grew up in the Carmen area and attended Enid Public Schools. She married Terry Ryel in 1969, and they had four sons together. They eventually grew apart, and on December 8, 2005, she married Roy Sharp in Las Vegas, blending his three children with her four.

Jody balanced her family life with her work; working at Imation in Weatherford and as a correctional guard at Cornell Correctional Facility in Hinton. Jody loved to cook and keep a clean, neat home. She loved to travel, stay in motels and meet new people. She loved to camp out with her family and loved a good party.

She had a smile which always brightened the room. She did not like confrontation between family members and tried to be the peacemaker and stay in the middle. Jody always was thinking about the needs of others over herself. Most of all, she loved doing things with her sons and stepchildren.

Survivors include: her husband, Roy Sharp, of Enid; her mother, Mary Allen, of Oklahoma City; four sons, Stan Ryel, of Oklahoma City, Brian Ryel and wife, Kathy, of Aline, Travis Ryel and wife, Ashlee, of Carmen, and Lance Ryel and wife, Ashley, of Houston; a stepdaughter, Sheridan Postier and husband, Brad, of St. Charles, Missouri; two stepsons, Brad Sharp and wife, Michelle, of Edmond, and Kyle Sharp and wife, Nikki, of Edmond; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Loretta Johnson and husband, Melvin, of Shawnee, Cindy Keith and husband, Ken, of Enid, Brenda Rogers and Patrick Murphy, of Oklahoma City, Teresa Jones and husband, Mike, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Anita Ingraham and husband, Bruce, of Enid, and Shirley Neal and Kirby Winters, of Blanchard; brothers, John Morris and wife, Tamara, of Lane, and Bruce Morris and wife, Jamie, of Atoka; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Morris; infant sister, Lourita Morris; maternal grandparents, John and Lydia Rauh; paternal grandparents, John and Amy Morris; and brother in law Elgin Morrison.

Memorial contributions in Jody’s name can be made to the OMRF Alzheimer’s Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
