Funeral services for Patricia Mae “Pat” Springer, 71 year-old Weatherford resident, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Grace Assembly of God Church with Mark Lumpkin officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home. A visitation was 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2020, in “The Chapel” of the Lockstone Funeral Home.

Pat was born July 4, 1949, in Thomas to Grover C. and Virginia (Hooper) Hazel and went home to be with the Lord, Friday, July 24, 2020, at Weatherford Regional Hospital.

Pat was raised and attended school in Weatherford, graduating with the Class of 1967. On August 4, 1967, she married Orval Eldon Springer in Byers, Texas. Pat and Orval traveled the central and western parts of the states as evangelists. They pastored churches in Kingman, Kansas; Lordsburg, New Mexico; Pearl, Roseland, and pioneered and pastored Grace Assembly of God in Weatherford in 1993. They settled their home permanently in Weatherford in 1977.

Pat was a stay at home mom and helped Orval run his family business, Willie Kilpest, until Orval retired. Pat then went to work at Dr. Brenda Stutzman’s office in Hydro for several years. She also served 11 years — 1986 to 1997 — as head inspector for Precinct 21 for the Custer County Election Board. She received a commendation from the Governor of Oklahoma for outstanding service.

Pat loved the Lord, her church family, playing the piano and singing with Orval. Pat’s hobbies were scrapbooking, crocheting, sewing, working puzzles and cake decorating. She loved spending time with friends and her greatest love was her grandkids and the great grandkids. Pat was loved by many and will be greatly missed; our loss is heaven’s gain. Memorials may be made to Grace Assembly of God Church.
