Funeral service for Woodie Kimble, 77-year-old Hydro resident, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at First United Methodist Church, with Taylor Anderson and David Karges officiating. Burial will follow at Hydro Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Woodie was born October 30, 1943, to Woodrow and Thelma (McNary) Kimble and died February 19, 2021, at Weatherford Regional Hospital in Weatherford.
Woodie was raised and attended school in Hydro, graduating from Hydro High school in 1961. He married Mary (Buchanan) May 12, 1963, in Hydro, and they made their home south of Hydro.
Out of high school Woodie farmed and ranched and was still active at the time of his death. He had worked at 3-M as a supervisor in coding from 1970-79. Woodie enjoyed family time, fishing, working cattle, and the outdoors. Memorials may be made to Hydro First Responders and First United Methodist Church in Hydro.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Kimble, of the home; a son, Chad Kimble and wife, Amy, of Hydro; two daughters, Sheila Huiatt and husband, Rusty, of Weatherford, and Tina Kimble and Robert Zamora of Milburn; two sisters, Melva O’Hara and husband, Richard, of Paden, and Margie Kirby and husband, Roger, of Lamont; a sister-in-law, Rita Kimble, of Hydro; nine grandchildren, Adrian Creider and husband, Corey, of Hydro, Spencer Huiatt, of Hydro, Jaci Blue and husband, Phillip, of Tishomingo, Rio Zamora, of Tishomingo, Britney Koepp and husband, Conner, of Forney, Texas, Charis Kimble, of Oklahoma City, Braeton Kimble, of Hydro, Kade Kimble, of Hydro, Kason Kimble, of Hydro; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jerald and Johnie Mac Kimble.
