CBA hosts Snyder for Senior Night

Corn Bible Academy hosted the Snyder Cyclones Friday night for the football season opener as well as senior night.

The Cyclones were the first to score in the first quarter with 10 minutes on the board but didn’t get the 2- point conversion. It put the Cyclones up, 6-0. A 5-minute drive from the Crusaders offense ended with a touchdown for Corn Bible. The Crusaders couldn’t get the 2-point conversion so the game was tied, 6-6, with 5:14 remaining in the first quarter.

Snyder didn’t waste any time, as they stormed down the field to score a touchdown in less than a minute to put them back ahead 14-6 at the end of the first quarter.

The beginning of the second quarter was started with a Corn Bible pick to give them the ball back. In the next play Corn Bible fumbled the ball and gave it back to Snyder. The Cyclones would go into score three more touchdowns in the third quarter, the score was 36-6 at halftime.

Snyder received the ball first in the second half. Corn Bible defense forced the Cyclones to turn the ball over on downs. Corn Bible fumbled the ball in the next position and gave it back to Snyder which lead to a touchdown, putting them ahead 44-6. Snyder would onto score another touchdown to end the game.

The Crusaders go on the road to Kremlin-Hillsdale 7 p.m. Friday.
