The Hydro-Eakly Lady Bobcats softball team is playing a pretty intense schedule this season with lots of familiar opponents.
They play two games against Weatherford and have six home games. The Lady Bobcats are playing in four tournaments. The tournaments they are playing in are the Arapaho tournament, the Sterling tournament, the Sayre tournament and the Hydro-Eakly festival. They are playing seven road games and postseason play begins the last week in September.
Hydro-Eakly’s toughest game will be a road trip to Binger-Oney as Binger-Oney made it to the Class A semifinals a year ago. Sterling also qualified for the state tournament but lost to Binger-Oney in the first round.
The Lady Bobcats have a home-and home with Carnegie, Weatherford and Duke.
In the first round of districts, they dominated Thomas-Fay-Custer and Arapaho-Butler and Hydro-Eakly plays Thomas toward the end of the season. Hydro=Eakly finished last season with a record of 17-12.
