The winners of the Weatherford Daily News football contest for the first week were announced Tuesday.

Due to Weatherford’s game getting cancelled, the Thomas-Fay-Custer v. Sayre game was used as the tiebreaker.

In the case where the Weatherford game is cancelled, Thomas-Fay-Custer’s game will be used as the tiebreaker. If both games are cancelled, Corn Bible Academy’s game will be used as the tiebreaker.

Nathan Miller, of Weatherford, took first place, picking 19 of 20 games correctly, missing the tiebreaker by 34 points and receiving 50 “football bucks.”

Chris Vandersee, of Weatherford, came in second, picking 18 of 20 games correctly, missing the tiebreaker by 14 points and receiving 20 “football bucks” for second place.

Willis Jones, of Weatherford, will receive 10 “football bucks” for third place, picking 18 of 20 games correctly and missing the tiebreaker by 18 points.
