Football contest winners announced

The winners of the Weatherford Daily News football contest for the first week were announced Tuesday.

Kari Jonrd, of Weatherford, took first place, picking 17 of 21 games correctly, missing the tiebreaker by 14 points and receiving 50 “football bucks.”

Cortney Bell, of Weatherford, came in second, picking 16 of 21 games correctly, missing the tiebreaker by 8 points and receiving 20 “football bucks” for second place.

Lauren Jones, of Weatherford, will receive 10 “football bucks” for third place, picking 16 of 21 games correctly and missing the tiebreaker by 9 points.

A full address is required on entry forms from them to be considered.
