The SWOSU women’s basketball team suffered their first defeat of the 2020-21 season Saturday, falling 85-75 to East Central at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center in Weatherford.

The Lady Bulldogs fell despite the effort of senior Bethany Franks, who scored a season-high 18 points and became the 14th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark for her career. Franks achieved the milestone on a mid-range jumper early in the third quarter.
