EDMOND — The Lady Bulldog basketball team has moved up eight spots in the latest D2SIDA Media Poll, earning a national ranking of No. 13 heading into the second round of Great American Conference Divisional Play.

The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) has not yet released a Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll for the current season, with the first poll set to be announced later this month.

SWOSU moved to 5-0 on the year with victories against Southern Nazarene and Oklahoma Baptist last weekend. Through five games, the Lady Bulldogs lead NCAA Division II with an average of 14.2 made three-pointers per game and they are second nationally in both scoring offense, 95.0 points per game, and scoring margin, plus 31.2.

Five different players are averaging double figures in scoring for SWOSU, led by two-time GAC Player of the Week Makyra Tramble, who leads the conference in scoring at 22.8 points per game.

The Lady Bulldogs will put their national ranking on the line twice this week, as they played at Southeastern Oklahoma State Thursday before returning home Saturday to host East Central.
