With the 2020 football season approaching, the Thomas-Fay-Custer Terriers are in back in the swing of things amidst COVID-19.

The Terriers were put in a new district this season facing new challenges and new opponents, although some of the district foes will be familiar. Thomas has its first regular season game this Friday where they will travel to Watonga to take on the Eagles.

District foes include Burns Flat-Dill City, who jumps up from 8-man, Fairview, Hooker, Merritt, Mooreland, Sayre and Texhoma.

The non-district schedule includes the opener at Watonga.

“We haven’t seen Watonga at all. This time of year, we just start watching film and try to identify the problems we have and we can fix and kind of go from there. We just need to take it one game at a time,”Ward said.

The other two non-district games will be against Alva and at Cashion.

Thomas has five away games that include playing Cashion, Fairview, Merritt and Texhoma. The Terriers have the home field advantage against Alva, Hooker, Sayre, and Burns Flat-Dill City.
