Despite the snow storm and power outages this week, the Weatherford Eagles football team is playing the Bethany Bronchos, 7 p.m. today at Woody Roof Field.

“It looks promising we will play Bethany at home tonight,” Coach Reagan Roof said. “It might be a muddy mess, but that is football, so we are ready for it. It just adds to the craziness of 2020 and I am excited for the game against Bethany.”

Weatherford is ranked at the top of the district with a record of 6-0 and Bethany is in fifth place in the district with a record of 4-4. Roof said they prepared for Bethany just like any other team on their schedule and they did a walk through in the high school gymnasium.

“We did a little bit of a walk through Monday and did not do anything Tuesday,” Roof said. “We practiced outside Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and will have a walk through today. Our week of practice has not been ideal, but practicing Wednesday and some Monday has been better than nothing.”
