The Class 4A playoffs will begin Friday and Weatherford will not play this week after receiving a first-round bye.

Weatherford is one of two undefeated teams in 4A, along with Wagoner. In a normal season, Weatherford would play football this Friday. However, the Oklahoma Seconekgry School Activities Association (OSSAA) made a decision in October to allow every team who wants to compete in the postseason the right to do so.

A team who cannot play a nonchampionship playoff game on the scheduled date due to a COVID-19 situation will be eliminated from the series. That team’s opponent in the preceding round will be offered the opportunity to fill that line on the bracket on the scheduled date. If the preceding opponent declines the opportunity or there is no proceeding opponent as in the case of a bye, the remaining team will advance to the next line. State Championship final games issues with the COVID-19 will be handled by OSSAA staff.

Weatherford will play the winner of Bethany, who finished fifth in 4A-1, or Cushing, who finished fourth in 4A-2.

Miami, who finished seventh in 4A-3 will play at Hilldale, who finished second in 4A-4. Muldrow, who finished sixth in 4A-4 will play at Grove, who finished third in 4A-3. The winner of those two games will play each other in the next round.

Oologah-Talala, who finished fifth in 4A-3 will play at Sallisaw, who finished fourth in 4A-4. The winner of this game will play Wagoner, who finished first in 4A-3 and gets a first-round bye.

Chickasha, who finished seventh in 4A-1 will play at Tuttle, who finished second in 4A-2. John Marshall, who finished in sixth place in 4A-2 will play at Newcastle, who finished third in 4A-1. The winner of these two games will play each other in the next round.

On the other half of the bracket, Elgin, who finished eighth in 4A-1 will play at Blanchard, who finished first in 4A-2. Tecumseh, who finished fifth in 4A-2 will play at Cache, who finished fourth in 4A-1. The winner of these two games will play each other in the next round.

McLain, who finished seventh in 4A-4 will play at Bristow, who finished second in 4A-3. The winner of this game will play Broken Bow, who finished in third place in 4A-4 and received a bye.

Fort Gibson, who finished fifth in 4A-4 will play at Skiatook, who finished fourth in 4A-3. The winner of this game will play the 2019 Class 4A champions Poteau, who finished first in 4A-4.

Harrah, who finished seventh in 4A-2 will play at Clinton who finished second in 4A-1. Elk City, who finished sixth in 4A-1 will play at Ada, who finished third in 4A-2.
