WDN celebrates first ‘Merry Monday’

The Weatherford Daily News celebrated its first “Merry Monday,” during the annual Chris-Giving holiday promotion.

Two lucky winners received baskets filled with a variety of holiday goodies.

Two more lucky winners will be drawn every Friday through December 17, with the last “Merry Monday” being December 20.

Local shoppers can register for a chance to win at participating businesses.

This year’s Chrisgiving boxes have been rebranded as “Buddy Boxes,” in partnership with the Southwest Playhouse production of “Elf the Musical.” Each one is filled with Elf-branded merchandise, Christmas movies, hot chocolate, cookies mixes, holiday decorations and plenty of Christmas cheer.
