Route 66 Nights is going out with a night of “fall family fun,” according to event organizer Michelle Lee.

Oktoberfest is 6-9 p.m. October 29 in the Weatherford Towne Centre.

New this year is “Trunk or Treat.” Businesses, organizations and individuals interested in passing out candy to trick-or-treaters during the festival can contact the Weatherford Area Chamber of Commerce at (580) 772-7744.

Participants can enter a 50/50 raffle for a chance to win have of the proceeds from the raffle. The other half will go towards future Route 66 Nights events.

The “World’s Largest Bratwurst” is returning for another year. After assembly, festival goers can purchase a section for $5 each. Proceeds will benefit PALS Family, Inc., a local foster agency and family resource center.

Other fun events include a costume contest hosted by the Weatherford Daily News, karaoke, tie-dying T-shirt, pumpkin decorating and a cornhole tournament. Those interested in the tournament can contact Clint at (580) 497-6178 for more information.

Additionally, attendees can enjoy extended shopping hours downtown.

The final Route 66 Nights event of the year promises fun for the entire family. For more information, contact the Weatherford Area Chamber of Commerce at (580) 772-7744.
