CBA hosts 58th annual German Feast, Auction April 9

CORN — The public is invited to the small town of Corn for Corn Bible Academy’s 58th Annual German Feast and Auction Saturday, April 9.

The Annual German Feast will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and again from 5-7 p.m. The meal will feature delicious verenika (cottage cheese dumplings) smothered in a ham onion gravy, zwieback, rolls, smoked sausage, grilled sausage, cherry mousse and New Year’s cookies (fried raisin fritters). For smaller appetites a smoked sausage sandwich meal will be available. Curbside pickup is an option this year.

The “Auction” will begin 1 p.m. on the same day. Supporters of Corn Bible Academy have donated items such as: handmade quilts, wooden toys, afghans, wall hangings, furniture and many other items too numerous to mention. Homemade food goods also will be available. The silent auction will begin 10 a.m.

Corn is located 13 miles south of Weatherford on SH 54. Come and enjoy the small town hospitality with lots of great food and interesting things to purchase at our auction.

Each year the students and supporters celebrate with a German Feast and Auction to help continue financing the operation of the school. Tickets are available by calling the school at (580) 343-2262 or tickets may be purchased at the door the day of the event.

Come and enjoy the entire day with us at Corn. The town has a very interesting historical museum in the town of Corn people may want to visit during their stay in Corn. The museum will be open from 3-5 p.m.
