Cordell — An arrest warrant has been issued in Washita County for the arrest of Homer Kyle Black.

The Washita County District Court filed home repair fraud charges against Black after a Washita County woman contacted the Washita County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim alleged she agreed to have Black build her a carport at her house. The two agreed the victim would pay half of the cost up front and the remaining cost after the job was completed.

The victim paid $3,107.50 up front. According to court documents, Black deposited that check the next day.

However, the victim alleged Black never returned to complete the work. Court documents indicate Black stopped responding to the victim’s phone calls, emails and text messages about a week after the check was deposited.

Black also faces charges in Pottawatomie County of grand larceny and knowingly receiving stolen property.
