CORN — The Corn Bible Academy Lady Crusaders volleyball schedule begins next week and they play a really tight schedule.

“I am excited to see how we play against teams on our schedule,” senior outside hitter Kasya Carpenter said. “We have a lot of new girls this season and I am excited for us to play our schedule.”

CBA is only playing six home games this season, however they have 11 road trips and three tournaments, not including regionals and state.

The three tournaments they are competing in are the Weatherford tournament, Saturday August 22, the Chickasha tournament Saturday, September 12, and the Conference tournament hosted by Weatherford, Saturday September 26.

Three seasons ago, CBA qualified for the state tournament and made it all the way to the championship game, but lost 3-2 to Crossings Christian. Since then, the Lady Crusaders have competed in regionals, but have not qualified for the state tournament.

“We are looking forward to seeing the teams we normally play on our schedule,” Coach Erin Basinger said. “Our schedule is challenging, but it is a good fit for us and we are excited for the opportunity to get to play this season.”
