OKLAHOMA CITY — Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka, has named Rep. Anthony Moore, R-Clinton, to the Executive Committee for the Energy Council.

The Energy Council is an international national non-partisan legislative organization founded in 1975 to promote a balanced national energy strategy and related environmental policies.

The Council also endeavors to promote an understanding of energy and its role in the global economy and to give legislative policymakers a chance to learn more about energy issues of importance to their states, citizens, environment and revenue base.

“It’s a privilege to be selected by Speaker McCall to serve on the Energy Council,” Moore said. “The energy sector is vitally important to both my district and our entire state, and the Energy Council plays a pivotal role in helping us expand this important economic driver. I’m excited to have the opportunity to serve in this capacity and look forward to contributing to the Council.”

Moore, a Clinton native, has represented House District 57 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives since 2020. He has served on the House Energy and Natural Resources Committee since taking office and is the current vice chair of the committee.
