Locals shocked, horrified by tragedy

  • Weatherford residents responded to the Oklahoma Blood Institute’s call for blood donors after the Murrah Federal Building bombing. On the first day, 76 donors showed up at Southwestern Memorial Hospital. Local residents used words like “horrible,” “overwhelming” and “total shock” to describe reaction to Wednesday’s bombing in Oklahoma City. “I keep wanting to cry,” said Deborah Dobson of the county extension office. “It just kills me.
