WHS, WMS to host retirement receptions Monday

Weatherford High School and Weatherford Middle School will host separate retirement receptions Monday for faculty leaving at the end of the school year. The WHS reception is 3:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Teachers retiring this year are accounting and finance teacher Bob Bailey, math teacher Renee Bryant and physics teacher David Beck. The reception also will be for Mark and

Cathy Shadid, who retired at the end of the 2019-20 school year, but the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the school from hosting a reception.

The WMS reception is 4-5:30 p.m. in the PAC lobby for Title I reading teacher Laurie Crall, geography teacher Bryan Flaming, science teacher and head baseball coach Todd Gaunt and reading teacher Pat Lightfoot.
