Encore, Encore, Encore is what the crowd of 1,300 chanted at SWOSUpalooza after the Randy Rogers Band left the stage.

The band walked off the stage and came back to play one more song, “Kiss me in the Dark” and the crowd gave a standing ovation after the song ended.

The music was really good, and I mean really good. I am not a big country or red dirt fan, but I like the Randy Rogers Band. Heck, I had never heard of him until a couple of weeks ago.

The other bands who played were Triston Marez and Cam Allen. SWOSU student Desmond Richey is in Allen’s band, which I thought was awesome. Richey played the bass and their music was fabulous.

One of their songs I liked was “Daydream” because the beat was cool and it put me in my feelings, and I daydream quite often. These songs were about people getting along, but, ironicallly, there was a fight. The only reason I knew about it was because one of my buddies said, “Look, a fight!” It lasted a few seconds, and no one was hurt from what we could tell, but I was daydreaming, just like in the song.

Morez’s band played after Cam Allen’s band, and they were great. My favorite song of his was “Day Drinking”. My buddies and I happened to be in line to get drinks at the time.

SWOSUpalooza was a real treat and I liked all the bands who played. SWOSU’s Student Government Association did a fantastic job hosting the event, as the speakers worked well and my ears were ringing.

Concerts are always fun because of the people you run into, and most people vibe to the music. Like I said before, I had never heard of Roger’s music, but it was really good and I might begin listening to his music.
