Custer County District 1 Commissioner Wade Anders gave a quick update on the Circuit Engineering District No. 7 and the CED7 Authority during the commission meeting Monday morning.

Anders, who sits on the CED7 board, said there are changes coming up for both the staff and the board.

CED7 and the related authority recently went through an investigative audit by the Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector’s Office after concerns were raised by District Attorneys Angela Marsee, Ken Darby, Mike Fields and Christopher Boring.

The results of the audit were made available in April, and the two entities have made some changes since then.

First, the day-to-day running of the oil plant has been turned over to liquidators, so the CED7 board no longer sees any of the bills or operation decisions. The liquidators will run the plant and report back to the board.

In addition, 7 Oil no longer is available in compliance with the findings of the audit.

Anders said the board is working with its DAs to comply with the findings in the audit.

More information will be available at a later date.
