The Weatherford Rotary’s Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Rader Park is Saturday; however, the festivities will look a lot different this year.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will not be a concession stand or bouncy houses. Instead, everyone is welcome to bring their lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets to the park.

In addition, three food trucks and a snow cone stand will be on-site for patrons.

Handicap parking is available at Prairie West Golf Course with golf cart transportation into the park. Parking for everyone else is available at Eagle Field, the softball complex, the lot across the street from the softball complex and the soccer fields.

Like in years past, Lyle Road will be open to northbound and southbound traffic until the end of the fireworks display. Lyle will then be closed between the park entrance and the golf course entrance while everyone exits.

All cars north of the golf course will continue north on Lyle, and cars south of the golf course entrance will continue south.

Officers from the Weatherford Police Department and volunteers from the Weatherford Rotary Club will help direct the flow of traffic out of the park.

The fireworks display is sponsored by the Weatherford Rotary Club and the City of Weatherford. Music will be provided during the celebration.
