Dona Selsor

Funeral services for Dona Ruth Selsor, 81year-old Weatherford resident, will be 10 a.m.

Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Clint Carter and David Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Dona was born September 18, 1942, in Enid, to Walter (Bud) Maginnes and Idris Mary (Ives) Wood and passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at Corn Heritage Village of Weatherford.

Dona was raised and attended school in Enid, graduating in 1960.

June 12, 1960, Dona married the love of her life, Leonard Selsor.

They made their home in Ponca City and soon started their family of three boys.

Dona worked alongside Leonard at the Toot-n-Tell convenience store, as a secretary in the Art Department at SWOSU and later as a closing agent for a title company in Florida.

Dona surrendered her life to Jesus at a young age and her faith and service never wavered.

Dona was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and North Naples Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school from pre-school to youth, was a great prayer warrior and a Christian mentor to several young women. Dona also served in many community organizations.

Dona cherished her family and friends, loved to tend to her beautiful flower gardens, had an amazing gift of hospitality, was a meticulous seamstress, cake decorator and was a tremendous cook. One of her greatest joys was being a grandma and great-grandma.

Survivors include: her three sons, Jeff Selsor and wife, Lisa, of Gadsden, Alabama, Scott Selsor and wife, Stacy, of Weatherford, and Kevin Selsor and wife, Shannan, of Dallas, Georgia; one brother, David Wood and wife, Roxanne, of Naples, Florida; six grandchildren, Kendra Selsor and wife, Kennedy, Taylor Diggs and husband. Matt, Bud Selsor and wife, Allison, Becca Key and husband, Killian, Haley Selsor and Makenzie Selsor; four great grandchildren, Bentley Diggs, Adeline Diggs, Atticus Selsor and Ellen Key; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; one brother, Larry; and a great granddaughter, Annie.
