Donald Robinson

Funeral services for Donald Edward Robinson, 89-year-old Fort Cobb resident, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024, in The Chapel of Lockstone Funeral Home with Mike Price officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Cemetery in Taloga under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford.

Edward was born January 5. 1935, in Denver, to Donale Edwin and Claris C. (Clark) Robinson and left our world Sunday, March 24, 2024, at his forever home in Fort Cobb Lake.

Edward was raised and attended school in Weatherford and graduated with the Class of 1954.

December 9, 1961, he married Delores Owen in Oklahoma City. He joined the Oklahoma City Fire Department in April of 1962 and retired in April 1995, as Maj. Don Robinson.

Survivors include: his wife of 62 years, Delores, of the home at Fort Cobb Lake; three daughters, Cindee Etris, of Checotah, Kimberly Robinson and Tommy Snow, of Yukon, and Mary Jane Berry, of Fort Cobb Lake; one son, Donny Robinson, of Texas; one brother, Max Robinson, of Yukon; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Clark Robinson; three sisters. Bonnie Fountain, Quembe Walkingstick and Sheryl Robinson; and one grandson, B. J. Stanley.
