Nona Pauline Hunt was born November 18, 1926, in Fay to Benjamin Franklin and Francis Edna (Humphrey) McDonald and passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, in River Valley Nursing Home in Clinton, at the age of 97 years, 4 months and 27 days.
Nona was raised and attended school south of Fay and later attended school in Thomas. Nona married Perry Dean Hunt and they made their home in Thomas and Fay. She worked at Deck’s Grocery for 25 years.
Nona enjoyed quilting, playing cards and Dominos, her church choir, spending time with family, friends and grandchildren.
Survivors include: her daughter, Nola Burchett, of Thomas; one brother, Don McDonald and wife, Peggy, of Decatur, Texas; two grandchildren, Jay Christensen and wife, Gina, of Ft. Cobb, and Julie Glasscock and husband, Brad, of Thomas; three great grandchildren, Brenna Yoder and husband, Caleb, of Weatherford, Jaclyn Glasscock, of Thomas, Tera Mattocks and husband, Tyler, of Norman; and two great-great grandchildren, Jaxon and Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; and three brothers, Erva, Kenneth and Benny.
Memorials may be made to the church choir.
